JOINING INSTRUCTIONS

Introduction

National Industrial Security Academy is the premier training institution of Central Industrial Security Force. The Academy was established primarily to conduct the basic induction training of directly - recruited Assistant Commandants and Sub - Inspectors and to function as institution to cultivate professionalism & expertise in Industrial Security Management among CISF personnel. It has also been imparting specialized training to officers & personnel of CISF, IAF, PSUs, other Police organizations and foreign police personnel.  

 

Location

The Academy is spread over 237 acres of land and is located opposite to the Air Force Station at Hakimpet on the Rajiv Gandhi State Highway in Secundrabad city. The distance from the Academy to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (Shamshabad) is approximately 53 kms. and to Secundrabad Railway Station is approximately 17 kms.

 

Climate

The location has a pleasant weather with mild winters (100 C - 300 C), moderate summers (280 C - 450 C) and monsoon rains (June - September).

Reporting

The participants nominated for the course should report to the Academy one day before commencement of the course. If coming by train, please alight at Secundrabad Railway Station, and do not go to Hyderabad Railway Station, if coming by air, please alight at RGI Airport, Shamshabad.

 

Return reservations

Officers are advised to make advance return reservation. This would obviate the difficulty in getting reservations from Hyderabad / Secundrabad.

 

Travel plan

Officers are requested to intimate their travel plan along with their mobile number and address well in advance for making administrative arrangements. Transport on individual basis will be provided only to the officers of the rank of DIG and above from the Railway Station/Airport/Bus Station to the Academy based on availability of vehicles.

 

Accommodation

Officers will be accommodated in residential hostels as per their rank on shared basis. Trainees are not permitted to bring their families during the course.

 

Timings of mess & mess discipline

Mess timings are as follows:

Breakfast : 0730 hrs. to 0900 hrs.

Lunch : 1230 hrs. to 1400 hrs.

Dinner : 2000 hrs. to 2100 hrs.

Officers are expected to observe mess discipline and service etiquette. They are expected to come in the mess and recreation room in proper attire. The dress code during the course for dining will be civvies with full sleeve shirt tucked in with tie & leather shoes (black/brown).

 

Dress code

The dress code during the course will be as follows: White T-shirt, white shorts/trousers with white PT shoes/socks for morning Yoga/PT class, afternoon indoor classes and games.

For forenoon indoor classes, working uniform of your organization.

Formal Civvies:

Ladies : Saree/Salwar-Kameez/Business Suit

Gentlemen : Full Sleeves Shirt & Tie, Trousers

 

Recreation facilities

Games : Tennis, Badminton, Billiards, Table Tennis, Swimming and Gymnasium

Medical

NISA has its own 20 bedded hospital with 3doctors to attend to medical ailments. Doctors are available in the campus round the clock.

 

Leave

Leave is ordinarily not sanctioned during the training. However leave is sanctioned only under extreme compassionate grounds.

 

Returned to Unit

In case a trainee misses training for more than 10% of duration of training due to medical or any other reason, he is liable to be returned to his parent unit.

 

Miscellaneous

Trainees are not allowed to keep any pets in Academy nor bring any private servant. Use of the following items is not permissible:

1. Music systems/Wireless sets/Transistors

2. Motor Cycles, Bicycles and Cars

3. Air Guns, Pistols, Fire Arms and Ammunition

4. Articles of value such as jewelry etc.

5. Electric heaters

 

Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in all the training areas. NISA wishes all the trainees a pleasant and productive stay on the campus.
